This is Part 7 of 12.

Not a speed-run or anything. I don’t claim to be a video game expert. Just me playing the 1991 Addams Family game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was also released on other systems. It’s different from the NES Addams Family game, which is absolutely a piece of shit.

I know some guy called the Angry Video Game Nerd or something slammed this game… but he’s either wrong, desperate for attention, or he’s just not that good at video games. Considering the technological limitations of 1991, this is actually one of the better platformers released for the SNES, and possibly the best game inspired by a film in the 16-bit era. The non-linear gameplay and preponderance of secret room make it worthy of being played more than once. Some parts can be difficult, but the game provides mountains of 1-Ups and respawn points so that it isn’t that frustrating. The music is a bit repetitive, but not to the point where it is overbearing on the game itself.
