If you’re trying to HIDE your Home Theater system, you should consider IN-WALL speakers…While "in-walls" will NEVER sound as good as a TRADITIONAL (stand-alone) speaker, they sound WAY better than an "in-ceiling" speaker…But as far as getting the RIGHT speakers for YOU, check this link: http://www.whydoesmyhometheatersuck.com/shopping.html

You could easily spend several thousand dollars on ceiling speakers if you wanted to.

I personally think the best sounding ceiling speakers I’ve heard are JBL. But everybody’s taste in what sounds good is different. It’s best to listen for yourself & buy the speakers you think sound best.

The rears can be cheap, as they only handle higher freqs.

Do not buy Bose. It is a marketing ploy (like Absolut Vodka-crap)

You get what you pay for - avoid Bset Buy, and go to a mid-range place (make sure you get the 15% discount that they are able to handle - do your homework.
